Sanibel Captiva Trust Company named Premier Sponsor for F.I.S.H. 10K Race
Last week, F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Here) of Sanibel announced that The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company has become the Premier Sponsor for the 2011 F.I.S.H. 10K annual race.
The race will take place on Sanibel on Saturday, Oct. 15 starting at the Sanibel Community House, following a 10 kilometer circuit around the island finishing back at the Sanibel Community House.
“We are delighted to take the Premier sponsorship for the second year in a row,” said Al Hanser, founder, CEO and co-chairman of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. “We supported FISH through a sponsorship of the F.I.S.H. 10K last year, and we also ran a team of our staff in the race. F.I.S.H. is a very important organization on our islands, and we want to support them in the work they do and by helping them in this major fundraising activity.”
The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way, and will follow a marked 10K circuit around the island, returning to the Sanibel Community House for the finish line.
This year, there will also be a trade exposition, aimed at runners, their families, supporters and friends. There will be refreshment tables at the Community House and water stations along the running circuit for the runners.
The F.I.S.H. 10K Race, is being held in conjunction with the Fort Myers Track Club and is expected to attract more than 400 runners this year.
