Bank of the Islands gives $800 to CROW

Pictured from left is Steve Greenstein, executive director of CROW, Rob Lisenbee, vice president of Bank of the Islands, and "WLOI" winner Susan Tucker.

Susan Tucker is the most recent winner of the “We Love Our Islands” promotion, sponsored by Bank of the Islands.

Tucker was spotted with a “We Love Our Islands” decal on her vehicle. That won her the right to select which local non-profit cause would receive a charitable contribution of $800 from the bank.

This contribution marks $40,700 given to island non-profits through the Bank’s “We Love Our Islands” program.

Tucker chose to direct the bank’s gift to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, known locally as CROW.

“It’s just great Susan chose CROW for our donation,” said Bank of the Islands Vice President/Manager Rob Lisenbee. “These funds will be used to care for seven baby river otters who recently came to CROW from various locations. Baby otters eat a special diet of formula, fish and large quantities of eggs, and are expected to remain in CROW’s care for quite some time until they have developed the strength and social skills needed to survive in the wild. Susan really helped us show how much we appreciate being your island bank.”

All islanders are invited to stop by the bank, located at 1699 Periwinkle Way, to get a free “We Love Our Islands” decal and details on how you and your favorite charity can become our next lucky winners.
