The Bay Singers to perform free concert at Shell Point

By Staff | Feb 28, 2011

Shell Point Retirement Community will welcome the Bay Singers to perform on Thursday, March 3 beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are required and the concert will take place in the Village Church Auditorium on The Island at Shell Point.

“The Bay Singers have been to Shell Point twice before, and are very popular amongst our residents,” said Melody Desilets, program coordinator for Shell Point Retirement Community. “We are so happy to welcome them back and look forward to their performance, which is sure to be a delight for all in the audience.”

The Bay Singers is a 40-voice chorus comprised of men and women, who are Bonita Bay residents. The group will be accompanied by talented pianist Cindy Dallas, assisted by instrumentalists Bob Wydock, Dick Robertson, Jae Wittlich and Terry Herwig. The group was established in 1998, and has been entertaining audiences all across Southwest Florida.

Under the direction of their new director, Bruce W. Galbraith, the Bay Singers will perform a broad array of musical favorites from Broadway show tunes to Spirituals and Rock and Roll. Shell Point resident Dave McJoynt founded the group prior to moving to the retirement community, and is delighted that the legacy of the Bay Singers continues.

This event is free, however tickets are required. To reserve your tickets, or receive additional information about this concert, please call 239-454-2054.
