Local digital artist Pam Brodersen will be exhibiting her artwork in the Alliance for the Arts Member Gallery, from March 4 through 26. An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This event is free, open to the public and allows the community to meet the artist and learn about her creative methods and techniques.

Brodersen’s artistic process goes far beyond taking digital photographs. A stylus on a pressure sensitive tablet becomes her brush and allows her to hand work her images. Computer software becomes a digital darkroom and with a mastery of these tools and technology there is no restriction to her creativity.

A full-time resident of Sanibel, Brodersen draws on her experience as a commercial photographic illustrator. In her Chicago studio, she worked on national advertising campaigns for clients such as Kelloggs, United Airlines, McDonald’s, Pillsbury and Disney. Also on March 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., join the Alliance for the opening reception of “Optimum Multiplicity: Gerry Stecca,” in the main gallery and the artwork of Pam Brodersen in the Member Gallery.
