Event chairpersons Jeanine Allen-Bradford and Linda Mondelli with John R. Wood owners Jay Ritcher and Joe Mondelli.

On Friday, Lee Memorial Health System Foundation announced that John R. Wood Island Real Estate Inc. will once again match the donated funds of its agents raised for the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in conjunction with Sanibel-Captiva Cares.

This is the third year owners and island residents Joe Mondelli and Jay Richter, along with their agents, have participated in the matching program.

“We are very pleased our agents have once again selected to support Sanibel-Captiva Cares and the Children’s Hospital,” said Mondelli.

“As we all know, these are challenging times in the real estate industry. We are very encouraged by the continued support we receive from John R. Wood and its agents,” said Lee Memorial Health System Foundation Director of Development Patti Chlipala.

Since it began 11 years ago, Sanibel-Captiva Cares has raised nearly $3 million in support of The Children Hospital of Southwest Florida thanks to the generosity and commitment of the Sanibel-Captiva communities.

The Sanctuary Golf Club’s clubhouse on Sanibel will this year host the annual fundraiser, which takes place on Sunday, March 20. With a “Phantom of the Opera” theme, an exciting night of fun and high drama is expected.
