Bullet holes found in two vehicles, garage door of home
Bullet holes were discovered Tuesday morning in two vehicles and a garage door at a home in southeast Cape Coral.
A woman told police that she thought she heard fireworks Saturday through Tuesday between about midnight and 1 a.m. each day, according to a report. At about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, she noticed bullet holes in a van in her driveway.
The woman also noticed a hole in the garage door of her home, located in the 1700 block of Southeast Eighth Terrace, and in the taillight of her car, which was parked in the driveway.
During the investigation, police observed bullet holes in the two vehicles and the garage door. The was one hole in the garage door, and the left taillight of the woman’s vehicle was broken. A bullet fragment was located in the trunk.
The van parked in the driveway had at least seven bullet holes in it.
According to the report, the damage to the van is estimated at $2,500. The damage to the woman’s vehicle is $200, and the damage to the door is $300.
