Hirdie-Girdie Art Gallery to host reception for Tangren-Reynolds
On Monday, Jan. 17, Hirdie-Girdie Art Gallery will hold a reception — open to the public — with refreshments from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring the oil and pastel paintings of Joan Tangren-Reynolds.
Color is used liberally in Joan’s work to bring scenes to life, and provides a depth that permits viewers to enter the scene and experience the moment.
In addition to Joan’s extraordinary paintings, also on display will be a diverse collection of Southwest Florida art by 14 local artists.
Hirdie-Girdie Art Gallery is a cooperative of award-winning artists creating original island art including paintings, photographs, baskets, turned wood, jewelry, wood carvings, fused glass, lizzart and pottery. The gallery is located at 2490 Library Way (corner of Library Way and Tarpon Bay Road) on Sanibel.
