Isaac Levy, founder of Yvel Jewelry, to visit Congress Jewelers

By Staff | Nov 30, 2010

Isaac Levy, designer and president of Yvel Jewelry, will visit Congress Jewelers on Sanibel this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4.

Yvel, whose name is the mirror image of Levy’s surname, is a leading designer of pearl jewelry known for its bold forms and intricate construction.

Levy will be at Congress Jewelers in the Periwinkle Place Shopping Center on Friday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. with his entire collection, including some new, one-of-a-kind pieces.

“I enjoy designing with pearls, because they represent one of nature’s loveliest creations and are very much in fashion,” said Levy. “People demand jewelry of the utmost quality and that is truly different. They literally want their jewelry to be wearable art.”

“The exquisite nature of the designs and the use of interesting gemstones keep this line consistently popular,” added proprietor Scot Congress. “Sometimes designers become stagnant, but Isaac’s enthusiasm for creating new pieces using the highest quality always makes us look forward to providing his pieces to our customers.”

Yvel specializes in fashion-forward jewelry featuring pearls and gold in different colors. The collection’s style is freeform, with pearls taking center stage complemented by gold and diamonds. Isaac and Orna Levy founded the company in Israel in 1986, continuing a family tradition that spans 100 years in the creation of high-end designer jewelry.

Congress Jewelers has carried the Yvel line of handcrafted jewelry for more than a dozen years.

Under family ownership and in its original Periwinkle Place location, Congress Jewelers specializes in an exclusive selection of elegant diamonds, colored gemstones, fine designer jewelry, Rolex timepieces and the Sealife by Congress collection, including the original Sanibel sandals. Its experienced staff offers watch service and repairs, jewelry design, production and repairs, appraisals and estate buying.

Congress Jewelers was named one of the nation’s top 50 designer-jewelry retailers for 2010-11 during the fifth annual JCK Designer Retailer Awards and is a member of the American Gemological Society, which includes less than 5 percent of jewelers in North America.
