Man reports semi-cab stolen

The cab portion of a semitrailer was reported missing Tuesday from the corner of Southeast Ninth Lane and Southeast 12th Court.
According to a police report, Cape Coral police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at the intersection at about 10:25 p.m. Upon arrival, Antonio Rodriguez told the officer that he had parked his blue, 1998 Freightliner Century semi-cab in the area and that it was gone when he returned.
The truck is valued at about $10,000.
Rodriguez told police that he parked the vehicle between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the side of the road near the intersection. He left the truck locked and secure and went home. When Rodriguez returned at about 10:20 p.m. to pick up the semi-cab, it was missing from where he left it.
According to the report, the truck has “Antonio Rodriguez” printed on both cab doors, as well as the required Department of Transportation numbers.
