Golfers needed to take part in inaugural Dogleg Golf Classic

The Animal Refuge Center’s 1st Annual Dogleg Golf Classic, coming to Southwest Florida’s premiere country club, The West Bay Club in Estero, will be held on Saturday,  Oct. 2.

Golfers are invited to take part in what will be a festive day of fun, great golf with great food, manned drink stations, exciting raffle prizes and an opportunity to win a new car.

U.S.G.A. rules will govern all play in this four-man scramble. Fees include breakfast, green fees, cart, lunch and goodie bags. Awards will be given out during lunch to the three lowest team scores and winners of each contest (Longest drive, longest putt and the hole-in-one car contest).

 

Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:30 a.m. A shotgun start for the events is scheduled for 10 a.m. A post-golf luncheon and awards ceremony will take place at 2 p.m.

Incorporated in 1988, Animal Refuge Center is a not-for-profit animal welfare society, dedicated to caring for all homeless animals brought to its care at its 22 ½ -acre sanctuary in North Fort Myers. The sanctuary houses 36 canine lodges, a Canine Training Center, a Cat Adoption Center, 16 feline facilities, and is home to more than 400 cats and 60 dogs.

The West Bay Club is located at 4606 West Bay Blvd. in Estero.
