By Staff | Sep 13, 2010

The Democratic Club of the Islands (DCI) will hold a meeting open to all this Thursday, Sept. 16 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, located at 770 Dunlop Road.

This meeting will focus on plans of the Lee County Democratic Party to get out the vote; build support for county, state and national candidates; and assist in making sure that all Democrats are aware of the stakes in these elections.

There will be an analysis of the recent primary elections, a discussion of the plans by Lee County Democrats to mobilize voters in the county to get voters to the polls, and of ways for everyone to assist and achieve Democratic goals.

The speakers will include Ellis Robinson, Lee County Democratic State Committeewoman, Ruth’s List Florida Chair, and DCI Board member and Sandy McClinton, Vice-Chair of the Lee County Democratic Executive Committee. Several local candidates have also been invited to attend.

With open races for U.S. Senate, Governor, and all cabinet seats, all eyes will be on Florida once again. Come and learn how you can get involved.
