Murder-suicide suspected in death of three found dead in Lehigh home
The deaths of a man, woman and baby boy in Lehigh Acres is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
The bodies were discovered by a person who called 911 at 4:05 p.m. to report they had arrived at 135 East Lake Drive and found two adults dead.
A further search of the residence revealed the body of the infant.
Due to the nature of the discovery, homicide detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit were assigned to investigate. At this preliminary stage of the investigation, the deaths appear related to a double murder and suicide, officials said, adding identities of the persons found in the home will not be released until positive identification can be confirmed.
The bodies will be turned over to the District 21 Medical Examiner. An autopsy will be performed to determine the causes of death.
