Ladies watch offered as raffle prize for FISH 10K Race
F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Here) of Sanibel is fundraising with a drawing for a Bertolucci Voglia ladies watch, was which was generously donated by Lily & Co. to help raise money for FISH.
The watch, as described by Lily & Co., features an elegant slim face, encrusted with 116 full cut diamonds in FGH color and VVS clarity. The watch has Swiss quartz movement; is water resistant to 100 feet and has a black varnished calf leather strap on stainless steel pin buckle. It is a truly beautiful jewelry piece and retails for $6,500.
You can show your support for FISH by buying a ticket for $10 each at the FISH Walk-In Center, located at 1630 Periwinkle Way, Unit B, on Sanibel, from any of the FISH board members, who include Maggi Feiner, Bill Fellows, Sharon Thomas, Blanaid Colley, Sally Davies, Jerry Edelman, John Pryor, Dick Schreck, Joel Soobitsky, Chip Specht and David Wright.
You can also buy tickets at one of the island service club meetings over the coming six weeks. The drawing will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16 during the FISH 10K Race at the Sanibel Community House. You do not need to be present to win; your name and phone number must be given at time of ticket purchase. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to F.I.S.H. of Sanibel, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization serving Sanibel and Captiva.
The FISH 10K Race, held in conjunction with the Fort Myers Track Club — which will take place on Sanibel on Saturday, Oct. 16 starting at 7:30 a.m. — is expected to attract more than 500 runners this year. Many of the service clubs on the island are once again volunteering with stewarding, parking and manning of refreshment stations over the island.
The FISH 10K is the main fundraising event for FISH this year; they hope to raise significant money from the race through local sponsorships, participant fees and donations.
