At least 12 times a year the library features displays including jewelry, art, shells and the personal collections of staff and residents.
Right now residents and visitors can check out the art of stained glass.

“I have a good eye for it.” she said.
Margaret Mohundro, the Sanibel Library director, said she expects the newly installed exhibit to be a hit with patrons.
“The stained glass jewelry is beautiful,” she said.
Mohundro said collections add more to patrons library experience making it multi-dimensional.
“We like to include displays of different community members work,” Mohundro said. “We highlight various collections. It’s another facet to the library.”

Over time these displays have included dolls, replicas of Calusa Native Americans masks and the private shell collections of the library staff.
