Permits increase in June, county reports

During the month of  June, contractors pulled permits to build 46 single-family houses collectively valued at $9.7 million in unincorporated Lee County. That compares to 41 permits issued in May and 24 issued in June 2009, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.

 

Also in June, permits were issued for four multi-family units, compared to eight in May and two in June 2009.

 

Six permits were issued in June for new commercial buildings collectively valued at $4.9 million, compared to $2.9 million in May and $129,250 in June 2009.

 

Lee County Community Development oversees planning, zoning, development, and building services, environmental review, building inspection and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Lee County.
