In response to editorial
To the editor,
I read your current Island Reporter editorial with considerable interest. Facts about the Sanibel Island Light Station have fascinated me for 58 years. My family and I lived there for 22 years.
Your editorial raises one point that demands it be brought to the attention of those individuals in city government who are now fully responsible for meeting the obligations they accepted at transfer of Point Ybel, including the maintenance of the historic structures thereon.
Please, someone, show me the evidence that lead-based paints remain adhered to the exposed wrought-iron Sanibel Island light tower, in 2010?
