Kids Kayaking Camp along the Great Calusa Blueway

Lee County Parks and Recreation and Calusa Ghost Tours will be offering the next three-day Kids Kayaking Camp session of the summer. 

Parents can sign their children up to explore different sections of the Blueway, starting at Bowditch Point Park on Fort Myers Beach each morning. Activities will include basic instruction, environmental awareness, water safety, paddling, hiking, swimming,  crafts, and games. Bring a hat, sunscreen, bag lunch, water bottle, and a sense of adventure.


The camp is open to children ages 10 to 14.


Kids Kayaking Camp dates are July 7, 8 and 9 (Wednesday through Friday). Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., traveling from and returning  to Bowditch Point Park on Fort Myers Beach daily.


Cost is $100 for each session, and all equipment is provided. Participants must pre-register at www.leeparks.org or by calling 239-533-7440. Space is limited so don’t wait!
