Save the Pets Alliance Pet Fair
The Save the Pets Alliance announced that it has teamed up with Coral Veterinary Clinic for a Pet Fair at Coral Vet, Sunday, May 2, from noon to 4 p.m.
Bring your family (two and four legged) for an afternoon of fun-filled entertainment, interactive & informative exhibits, prizes and giveaways, and good company. The Pet Fair will feature the latest products, services, info and advice for pet-parents.
Lee County VOICE volunteers will fingerprint kids, activities will also include Veterinary Acupuncture, Laser Therapy Demo and PETCO with the Prize Wheel.

Relay For Life
The Relay For Life North Fort Myers event will be held Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15 at J. Colin English Elementary. The 18-hour event begins at 6 p.m. on the 14th ends at noon on the 15th. J. Colin English Elementary School is located at 120 Pine Island Rd.

Free Caregiver Assistance Program
CARE (Caregiver Assistance and Regional Education) Program designed to provide caregivers free comprehensive help will be hosted by Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in May.
This series of sessions will be held May 4, 6, 11 and 13 at the North Fort Myers Good Shepherd United Methodist Church from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The church is located at 2951 Trail Dairy Circle in North Fort Myers.
The sessions will provide information to caregivers on how to provide enhanced care for their loved ones while also better maintaining their own emotional and physical health and well-being.
This program is free for anyone in Lee County who can benefit from this information. To register, call 866-231-0921.

Traditional Summer Camp at the Alva Community Center
This camp offer a full day of excitement! This camp is for children ages 6 to 13 years old. The camp day begins as early as 7:30 a.m and ends at 6 p.m. Day camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, organized games, quiet play, educational speakers, water activities, outdoor activities, field trips, skating, swimming, and much more.
Regular registration is $67 per week/child. Register online and get 10 percent off per week at leeparks.org. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. For more information call 728-2882.

— The Miss Marple Monthly Knitters
2 p.m. Tuesdays, May 4, 18
These sessions are for knitters and crocheters of all levels. You are invited to visit and share project and technique ideas. Registration is requested.
— Book Discussion: Tom Brokaw’s Boom! Voices of the Sixties
2 p.m. Thursday, May 20
Journalist Tom Brokaw takes us on a journey through a defining era in American history. Reflections of both famous and ordinary people explore how the nation was affected by the events of the Sixties, with consequences continuing today. Registration is requested.

4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25
Chess players of all ages and abilities (basic skills needed) are welcome. Bring your own board, if preferred. Meet others who share your hobby.

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.

4:30 p.m. Monday, May 10
Help decorate the library meeting room with sea life art for our “Make a Splash” themed Summer Reading program. Design colorful fish, coral, and sea life of all kinds to give our room an “under the sea” look. Return in June for summer reading program events and enjoy your artwork! For ages 6 and up. Registration is requested.

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during the allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and younger. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only.
