Cape police charge two on numerous felony counts
Cape Coral police have charged two people with more than three dozen felony
counts in connection to several home and vehicle burglaries.
Christopher Ronald Hasbrouck, 26, of 1118 N.E. Sixth Place, and Christine
Ashley Box, 23, no known address, are accused of burglarizing a total of
nine homes and vehicles in the Cape from March 29 and April 13.
Hasbrouck is also accused of a burglary that occurred on Feb. 28, according to police.
Hasbrouck and Box remained at the Lee County Jail on no bond Wednesday.
According to CCPD spokeswoman Connie Barron, Hasbrouck and Box were arrested Thursday by officers with the Street Crimes Unit on outstanding warrants as the two entered the city’s jurisdiction.
At that time, Hasbrouck was charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen
property, fraud false information to pawn shop and possession of heroin,
Barron reported. Box was charged with dealing in stolen property and fraud
false information to pawn shop, as well as violation of probation.
On Monday and Tuesday, detectives with the Property Crimes Unit added an
additional 39 felony charges to the two of burglary, grand theft and dealing
in stolen property for the 10 burglaries in the Cape. Hasbrouck now faces 21
felony counts and Box faces 18 felony counts, Barron reported.

Hasbrouck and Box have court dates set for May 17 at 8:30 a.m.
