Chapel to host food drive April 18
This summer will continue to bring an increased demand on local food pantries but donations will decrease as winter residents and vacationers head home.
To meet the needs of clients here and in Lee County, Chapel-by-The-Sea will be sponsoring a food drive on Sunday, April 18.
People attending the final service of the season are encouraged to bring canned items with currency or a check attached by a rubber band. Checks should be made out to Chapel-by-The-Sea.
For each dollar donated, a food pantry can purchase six dollars worth of food.
All contributions will be divided between F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Here) on Sanibel and the South Fort Myers Food Pantry.
For people not attending the April 18 service, donations can be left at any time in the blue buckets on the Chapel porch.
If you are heading home and cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, please help stock the not-for-profit food shelves for the hot summer months ahead!
