Davis to speak at April 13 ABWA meeting
The Sanibel-Captiva Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) invites all members and guests to the monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 13. The meeting will be held at The Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way.
Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner/meeting will start at 6 p.m.
Barbara Davis, the presenter and ABWA member, will discuss how to keep your employees engaged and motivated during a tough economy. This presentation emphasizes the need for setting individual and team goals, appreciative treatment of staff and ideas for inexpensive incentives. A group discussion with ideas from the audience will follow.

Celebrating its 23rd anniversary, Barbara Davis Employment Services is a New Jersey successful professional office staffing firm that places individuals in full-time regular, temporary, temp-to-hire and part-time positions from the mailroom to the boardroom.
A testament to Barbara’s business acumen is the fact that 80 percent of her company’s job orders year after year have come from repeat customers. Her office manager has been with her for 23 years and runs the office in her absence. The full time bookkeeper has been with the organization for 14 years, and the remaining staff has been there for five years.

The ABWA, which meets on the second Tuesday of each month at The Sanibel Community House, focuses on bringing together women of professional and business interests to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition. The purpose of the networking time prior to the start of the meeting is to build networking skills and provide business enhancing opportunities for Sanibel and Captiva businesswomen.
