Bank Of The Islands, Barrier Island Title Services named sponsors of 8th Annual ABWA Poker Pedal
The Sanibel-Captiva Chapter of the American Business Women Association (ABWA) is proud to announce that Bank Of The Islands and Barrier Island Title Services will be sponsoring its 8th annual Poker Pedal fundraiser on Sunday, April 11. The event will be staged from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
AWBA is tremendously grateful for this support that allows more of our event proceeds to go directly to granting academic scholarships. Last year, we were able to award scholarships to nine college students and three high school students.
The entire island community is invited to come out and join the fun. Visit seven of our 15 business sponsor locations and collect a playing card at each stop. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the shops and purchase lunch.
The best poker hands win great prizes at our “After Pedal Party” held at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way, at 3 p.m.
Prizes include week-long stay at an island accommodation, jewelry and, of course, a new bicycle.
Pre-registration is $30 for each participant and applications are available at Bank Of The Islands, Sanibel-Captiva Bank, Tom Lauwer’s Tax and Accounting, Cottages To Castles and The Island Nutrition Center. It is fun for the whole family… walkers are also welcome. All participants receive our really cool 8th annual edition T-shirt.
