By Staff | Mar 18, 2010

On March 14, Paula Hatem of Wilton, Conn. found a rare Junonia shell while shelling with her sister, Nancy Carolan of Olathe, Kan.

The shell was found near Tarpon Beach off West Gulf Drive.

Paula first visited Sanibel four years ago after reading about the great shelling in a magazine article, and has been coming back every year.
