2009 Hurricane Re-Entry Hangtag Passes extended for 2010

By Staff | Mar 12, 2010

In the City of Sanibel’s efforts to reduce costs, the current Hurricane Re-Entry Hangtag Passes that were issued this past hurricane season will be honored for the 2010 Hurricane Season.

The city is requesting all residents, property owners, business owners, property managers and their essential personnel keep the current Hurricane Re-Entry Hangtag Passes that were issued for the 2009 season.

Listed below are the colors that were issued for the 2009 season:

The City of Sanibel residents, business owners and visitors were very fortunate during the 2009 hurricane season and did not have to contend with any serious weather events. As we all know, community cooperation is still the key in hurricane preparedness and keeping the number of vehicles on the islands after a hurricane to a minimum is essential to recovery efforts. So, as in the past years, there will be only one hangtag per household issued.

For questions regarding hurricane passes or emergency preparedness, please contact Maj. Michael Murray or Emergency Management Specialist Stephanie Dowd at the Sanibel Police Department at 472- 3111.
