Alex Sink to speak at Sanibel Community Center
Florida Gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink will be speaking on Monday, March 22 at the Sanibel Community Center, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way, starting at 7 p.m. The Forum is sponsored by the Democratic Club of the Islands, but is open to all islanders who wish to hear her vision for Florida’s future.
Sink was elected as Florida’s CFO in 2006, and has led the charge to cut wasteful government spending and stand up for Florida’s consumers. As CFO, Sink has created programs such as “Safeguard Our Seniors,” aimed at protecting Florida’s seniors from financial fraud. Her “Safeguard Our Seniors” workshops have helped Florida seniors recover nearly $9 million and put senior scammers behind bars.
As a respected leader in Florida’s business community for almost three decades, Sink has a business plan to get Florida’s economy moving again now and create long-term economic prosperity well into the future.
Sink is expected to speak about what she sees as the answer to Florida’s economic challenges as she intends to partner Florida’s small business owners, entrepreneurs and working families to create jobs and prosperity for our state, emphasizing her business credentials, both her public service as Florida’s CFO and her private career as a successful business women.
If you’re tired of hearing Tallahassee’s vague generalities and tired political rhetoric from career politicians, this forum is your opportunity to meet and hear a leader with real world business experience, who can set a clear plan for job creation and economic growth.
Come to listen, come to learn and come to question Alex Sink at the Sanibel Community Center on Monday, March 22 at 7 p.m.
