The 44th annual ABC Sale was held on March 6 at The Sanctuary Golf Club, where 128 members and guests of the Captiva Civic Association enjoyed a splendid gathering complete with music, dancing open bar and sumptuous food.

Warren Schwab again performed masterfully as the ABC auctioneer – complete with many amusing costumes changes – and out of the 23 items sold at the auction, a total of $47,150 was raised. Combined with t-shirt sales, this year’s ABC event raised just over $53,000.

Captiva resident Jim Pigott was the lucky winner of the fully-equipped, street-legal golf cart.

Ten percent of the auction proceeds (rounded up to $5,000) will be donated to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s educational programs.

The CCA Foundation and Captiva Civic Association would like to thank all who contributed the many unique auction items and all of the generous bidders for making this ABC event another great, fun, community fund-raising
