Krueger to address ‘Understanding The Financial Crisis’ during March 11 lecture
Anne Krueger will use her common sense approach to explain her thoughts on the economic concepts that are shaping our world during a lecture titled “Understanding The Financial Crisis.”
The Sanibel Community House is proud to present another event in its “Neighbor To Neighbor Series.” This time, we are featuring our own expert in world economics who lives on Sanibel and travels the world lecturing and working with various countries and universities. You will want to save this date: Thursday March 11 at 9:30 a.m. at The Community House (2173 Periwinkle Way) to listen to her perspectives followed by a questions and answer session.
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, who frequently brings interesting financial speakers to this community, is sponsoring this event. Their respect for Professor Krueger’s ability to succinctly deliver complex concepts to us in an easily understood manner made this a natural partnership opportunity with The Community House. Because of this sponsorship, the event is offered at no charge.
Currently, Krueger is a Professor of International Economics at the School for Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. She is a Senior Fellow of the Stanford Center for International Development and a Professor of Sciences and Humanities in the Economics Department at Stanford University. She was the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund from 2001 through 2006. A recipient of numerous economic prizes and awards, she has published extensively on economic development, international trade and finance and economic policy reform.
A continental breakfast will be served, so reservations are recommended and as this is a free event, those with reservations will be guaranteed a seat. Bring your written questions that you would like to have Anne Krueger answer and turn them in when you arrive.
