Learn how to utilize the City of Sanibel Bowman’s Beach Fitness Trail to improve your health on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 13, 20 and 27.

The Bowman’s Beach Fitness Trail Boot Camps will be conducted every Saturday in February at the Bowman’s Beach Fitness Trail. Boot Camps will be offered for all fitness levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. These camps will be taught by Certified Personal Trainers Meta Goodwin and Laura McGowan. Please bring water, sunscreen, beach towel and a sweat towel.

Participants will learn how to utilize the apparatus along the trail, as well as receive educational materials to improve their personal fitness level.

The Sanibel Fitness Trail was constructed early this century with a generous donation by members of the Sanibel Seniors, Inc. The Fitness Trail equipment was decimated by falling trees during Hurricane Charley. After the hurricane, the Bowman’s Beach Fitness Trail was totally re-built with FEMA funds as part of the City of Sanibel’s hurricane recovery.

Participants meet at the Bowman’s Beach Playground and are responsible for paying to park if you arrive by motorized vehicle. There is no for fee to take this class but for planning purposes we request you pre-register in person at the Rec Center or by phone at 472- 0345.

The Sanibel Recreation Center is located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road. Daily, weekly, semi-annual and annual memberships are available. For more information, call the Rec Center at 472-0345 or visit www.mysanibel.com.
