Sanibel-Captiva ABWA Chapter to gather on Jan. 12
The Sanibel-Captiva Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is logging onto “The Web” at their Tuesday, Jan. 12 meeting. The program will focus on The Web, a tool to increase your business network.
The meeting will be held at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way. Informal networking starts at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner/meeting begins at 6 p.m. The cost for the evening is $20. All local businesswomen are welcome.
The guest speaker will be Dorothy Wallace, a partner in Zebis, a Sanibel company that provides technology support and service for small businesses and residential users nationwide. Wallace will discuss the many Internet avenues available to businesses today.
Social networks are on everyone’s mind and form one link in the chain of outreach opportunities. By learning about the choices available, you will be able to determine how to increase your Internet exposure effectively and safely, thereby adding Web possibilities to your marketing mix.
To secure your reservation in order to learn more about this important topic, please RSVP to Gayle-Dehaan-Garland (email@example.com) by Friday Jan. 8 or call President Carol Simontacchi at the Island Nutrition Center (472-4499).
The Sanibel-Captiva Chapter of ABWA meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Sanibel Community House. The mission of ABWA is to bring together women of diverse professional and business occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition. The purpose of the networking time prior to the dinner meeting is to build networking skills and to provide business opportunities for local businesswomen.
