Holiday Two-Person Best Ball Putting Tournament to debut

The Sanibel Community House first annual Holiday Two-Person Best Ball Putting Tournament is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Dec. 30 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Putt your way through the 18 indoor holes and test your skills against other contestants. An awards ceremony will follow the tournament. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning teams:

$500 for first place

$300 for second place

$200 for third place

The registration fee is $50 per team of two.

In order to get their skills honed on the actual miniature golf course, players may come often during the four days preceding the tournament.

The island’s traditional holiday mini golf course will be open for all ages when it will once again take over the Sanibel Community House on Saturday through Tuesday, Dec. 26 to 29 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will also be open on Sunday, Dec. 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The charge for adults is $3 and $2 for children under 12. This includes one round of mini golf. Popcorn and refreshments will also be available.
