Progressive Builders raises $3,000 for Relay for Life

By Staff | Dec 17, 2009

Progressive Builders, Inc. recently held a yard sale to raise dollars for Relay For Life 2010.
This event, held at the home of Progressive Builder’s President Michael Spreckelmeier in the
historic district of Fort Myers, raised more than $3,000.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.
At Relay, teams of people camp out and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are overnight events.
“Relay for Life is a very important event for both my family and the team at Progressive
Builders” said Spreckelmeier in a prepared statement. “We’ve been involved with this event locally for several years and look forward to participating in the 2010 event which will be held in March.
“Our yard sale was just the beginning of our efforts to raise funds for 2010. Cancer has affected my family and we feel it’s so important to be a part of this event.”
Progressive Builders, Inc. donates a healthy percentage from each of its remodeling projects tocharitable organizations in the Southwest Florida area such as the American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House and The Red Cross, according to the company.
