An open letter to the Sanibel City Council,

At a gathering on Captiva, Ron Gibson told me about the fact that the Captiva Community Panel has passed a resolution in opposition to offshore drilling.

As you know, the Lee County Commissioners have also passed a resolution opposing offshore drilling. Now, tiny Captiva has taken this action.

It is time for the Sanibel City Council to take a stand in opposition to offshore drilling. I urge you to do so at your next meeting. Quite honestly, given the Sanibel Vision Statement, I do not see how you could not take such a stand.
