Panel sets workshop date for RSC-2 zoning language
The Captiva Community Panel will hold a workshop session for height restrictions and RSC-2 zoning language for the land development code on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. at South Seas Island Resort.
During Tuesday’s regular panel meeting, Max Forgey of Morris-Depew Associates presented a variety of possible options pertaining to height restrictions and RSC-2 zoning language.
“I’ve tried to give you some options and the good points and bad points of each without inserting our personal feelings into it. So, I’m inviting and encouraging you here or anywhere else to critique,” Forgey said.
Many attendees and panel members had various questions regarding both sections of the land development code.
“People have been saying they want to be heard. They can certainly come and voice their opinion during the workshop and we’ll have some alternatives to discuss. I think all we’re really looking at is to develop a consensus on the island as to what’s correct for Captiva and it’s our chance to update the current code areas,” said panel member Mike Kelly.
Residents that are interested in learning more about height restrictions and RSC-2 zoning language should plan to attend the workshop session on Jan. 7.
Until then, questions can be sent to Max Forgey at mforgey@m-ad.com.
The workshop session for height restrictions and RSC-2 zoning will be held in one of the cone rooms at South Seas Island Resort, 5400 Plantation Road.
