Candlelight Christmas Eve under the stars at SCC

By Staff | Dec 4, 2009

Join neighbors and friends as we gather at the stable to celebrate the Savior’s birth on Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24.

At 5 and 7 p.m. on the campus of Sanibel Community Church, there will be a live nativity presentation, contemporary Christmas songs of praise, concluding with a beautiful candle-lighting service all under the glorious star-filled Sanibel skies.

In case of inclement weather, the 5 and 7 p.m. services will be held inside the Church Fellowship Hall.

At 9 and 11 p.m., traditional Christmas Eve services will be conducted in the historic Sanibel Community Church chapel. The Chancel Choir will perform a powerful song of worship, a Christmas message will be proclaimed, and again the lighted candles will signify the true light of Jesus that has come into our world. The 11 p.m. service will conclude with Communion.

At each of the Christmas Eve services, a special offering will be received for the planting of a new church in Ecuador.

Dr. Daryl Donovan serves as Senior Pastor of Sanibel Community Church. For more information, call 472-2684.
