’Tween Waters begins holiday season with annual tree lighting ceremony
Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, ‘Tween Waters Inn kicks off the islands’ holiday season with their annual tree lighting ceremony.
This year, approximately 120,000 Christmas bulbs lit up the grounds of the historic resort, in addition to hundreds of decorations, including snowmen, elves and even flying reindeer.
Guests at the event – most which come every year from all across the state as a holiday tradition – were treated to Christmas carols and holiday favorites by performers from the Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater and fireworks as they made their way through the holiday wonderland.
And though he didn’t come by the traditional sleigh, Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance via golf cart to spread holiday cheer amongst all the guests.
If you missed the event, don’t worry – the decorations at ‘Tween Waters Inn will be up for the remainder of the holiday season.
‘Tween Waters Inn is located at 15951 Captiva Drive.
