Doug “Fresh” Conaway shot a perfect 4-0 and led the Fresh Legion Crew to a solid hold on second place, seven games ahead of the surging One Ball Wonders as the Sanibel 8-Ball Pool League continued through Week 7 of their season.

Scott Marcelais, Doc Lubinski, Tom Hensel, and Tom Yorgey also posted wins for the Legion Crew.

Sanibel Caf was unceremoniously dumped into last place as they absorbed a 15-1 thumping from league-leading Bunt’s Ball Busters. John Earle had the only win for Sanibel Caf after running four balls and out from an attempted safety shot by Dave Doane that gave Earle ball-in-hand.

Perfect 4-0 scores were also turned in by Ken Rasi, Terry Ricotta and Bob Buntrock from the Ball Busters. Ricotta is undefeated in league play with 12 wins.

Nineteen players have paid their $10 entry fees for the pre-Christmas 8-Ball Tournament to be held at American Legion Post 123 on Saturday, Dec. 19 starting at noon. There are 13 openings remaining. Sign up at the American Legion Post 123 or call Bob Buntrock at 274-7881 to enter.
