ARC fund raiser Saturday

The Animal Refuge Center will hold its 15th annual Starlight Auction fund-raiser to benefit orphaned and abandoned animals housed at the sanctuary. The event will be held at Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa Saturday, Nov. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. The theme for the evening is “Gone with the Whiskers” where you will enjoy a silent and live auction, dinner and a complimentary cocktail.
Highlighting the live auction will be an original painting, First Love, from Darryl Pottorf with a value of $22,000. First love depicts Robert Rauschenberg at a young age with his first dog Laika. Also offered in the live auction will be highly desirable artwork by Nancy Colby, Wellington Ward, stunning diamond jewelry by Cedar Chest Fine Jewelers, and two photo safari trips to South Africa with Zulu Nyala. In total over 150 items are available to bid on.
Celebrity hostess for the evening will be Amy Wegmann from FOX-4 News. A special guest appearance by Ms. Tina Dame from the hit reality show “The Ex-Wives Club”, Ms. Tina Dame will be giving and signing autographed photos. Auctioneer for the evening will be Mike Joyce of Gulf Coast Coin & Jewelry Brokers. Tickets are $70 per person, which includes admission, fine cuisine dinner and a cocktail.

The Animal Refuge Center is dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, it will not be destroyed to make room for another.
