To the editor,

Kudos to the organizers of the Sanibel Farmer’s Market – Jean Baer and Betsy Ventura – and the many other volunteers and vendors who have brought a delightful new tradition to our island. Having an outdoor market where we can stroll vendor-to-vendor and visit with our Sanibel neighbors and friends every Sunday is a real treat.

A special thanks to the organizers and the City of Sanibel for promoting biking and walking to market. We even got a free raffle ticket for the Sanibel Rec Center’s fundraiser because we had biked to the market last week! So next Sunday, leave your car at home and discover the delights of biking or walking to the event. All you need is a basket or pannier and you can shop like a European.
