The Lee County Board of County Commissioners appointed a new chairman and vice chairman during its Tuesday meeting.
The aim is to reorganize the officers of the board, which is done annually on the third Tuesday of November.
Chairman Ray Judah nominated Commissioner Tammy Hall for chairwoman, which was approved 4-1 with Commissioner Frank Mann dissenting.
Mann nominated Commissioner Brian Bigelow for the post, but Bigelow declined.
“Thank you all for the vote of confidence,” Hall said.
Commissioner Bob Janes was nominated as the new vice chairman, replacing Hall. The nomination passed 4-1 with Bigelow dissenting.
