The Aubuchon Team of Companies will hold its 11th annual Helping Hands for the Holidays event Nov. 23 to help local children and families in need.
Helping Hands for the Holidays will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Team Aubuchon building in Club Square.
Admission to the event is free.
The evening will have a Rockefeller Center-style lighting of a Christmas tree, along with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The event will benefit local chapters of the Ronald McDonald House charities of Southwest Florida, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Builders Care, a nonprofit division of the Lee Building Industry Association.
The event will feature entertainment by Evangelical Christian School, a group from Cape Coral called The Nabbies and other youth singers.
Bubba’s Roadhouse & Saloon, Geo’s Italian Restaurant and the Joint at Cape Harbour will donate refreshments for the event.
“This is our 11th year hosting Helping Hands for the Holidays, and it’s become a celebrated tradition for our team, subcontractors, customers and our community,” Diane VanArsdale, director of marketing and sales for Team Aubuchon, said in a prepared statement. “The Ronald McDonald House, Make-a-Wish Foundation and Builders Care do so much to help families in this area, we want to do what we can to support them.”
Team Aubuchon has raised nearly $200,000 for the charities during Helping Hands for the Holidays over the past 10 years.
“Our main goal is to help make life a little easier and better for these children and their families,” VanArsdale said. “This event is a great way to get into the holiday spirit, so be sure to bring your friends and family.”
