Friday’s Child completes move to Periwinkle Place

By Staff | Nov 11, 2009

Friday’s Child, Sanibel’s newest and coolest children’s clothing and toy store, has completed the official move to Periwinkle Place and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Nov. 18 to honor the move and relocation.

Friday’s Child will host the ribbon cutting ceremony from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at its new location, between Fresh Produce and Toys Ahoy at 2075 Periwinkle Way. Just like the fun and funky store, the ceremony will celebrate the grand opening with unique kid-centered fun, including free children’s face painting by Silvia, free treats and social mingling for the adults.

“The ribbon cutting is going to be exciting,” said Milissa Sprecher, owner of Friday’s Child and mom of three. “We haven’t celebrated an official grand opening yet, so it is only fitting that we celebrate now in our new home. We’re so honored to have our community come support the store and we are thrilled to be in our new location at Periwinkle Place.”

Friday’s Child features hip, fun, funky, cool, upbeat and colorful styles for girls and boys, sizes infant to 14 – tops, skirts, shorts, swimwear, shoes, socks and even shades. In addition, Friday’s Child offers a unique collection of children’s toys that spark imagination, creativity, learning and positive play.

Friday’s Child store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their phone number is 472-9500. Order online anytime day or night at www.TGIFchild.com, and fan Friday’s Child on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fridayschildiscool.
