Veteran’s Day themes showcased in Movie Maker’s event
BIG ARTS Film Society presents Movie Maker’s Showcase where local filmmakers show their films Wednesday, Nov. 11 and Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
Films start at 1 p.m., followed by a question and answer session. There is no charge for this event. November films are Rusty Farst’s “A Wall As Witness,” which features artist Luc Century, and “Sanibel To Siberia: The Story of a World War II Memorial,” produced by Joel Banow, featuring artist Richard “Skip” Wallen.
Filmmakers and film students interested in showing their films on the big screen in Schein Performance Hall should contact BIG ARTS for further information. Film submissions in DVD format will be reviewed by the Movie Makers Showcase Film Selection Committee who will select the films for screening.
March 17, 2010 films will be announced at a future date.
A sound-enhancement system for the hearing impaired is available. There is no charge for this event. Both films begin at 1 p.m.
