Aztec Plumbing Warriors shatterproof against All Island Glass
Last Wednesday night, the Aztec Plumbing Warriors scalped All Island Glass in a 25-2 win.
The game was actually much closer than the score implied. Statistics show that All Island Glass stranded over 24 players on base throughout the game. They also made 19 fielding errors.
“If you just take those two statistics away, and tweak the score a little bit, it was actually a pretty even game,” said All Island player Kayla Schuneman.
With that win, Aztec Plumbing has pivoted into second place. Next week, they challenge the undefeated Beachview Rec’N’Crew in a game that will determine who leads the league.
“They better watch out for our tomahawk chop,” warned Aztec player Lorraine Geiger.
In the other games of the week, the Beachview Rec’N’Crew ran down the shopping aisle of victory against the Bailey’s Baggers in a tight 12-9 game.
“I like to shop at Bailey’s,” said Matt Palfri of Beachview, “because they sell Wheaties – the Breakfast of Champions.”
The Great White Grill chomped up the Sanctuary Island Electric like they were chum in a bucket in a 21-6 win. But don’t let the lop-sided score fool you – Sanctuary Island Electric has still got a lot of spark left in them for the future games.
“We were just charging our batteries for next week,” said Electric captain Bryan Hayes.
