Sanibel Public Library offers fun, informative youth programs

By Staff | Oct 26, 2009

Hey kids! The Sanibel Public Library is offering some great after-school programs this year.

Join our Book Discussion Group for third through fifth graders. The Saturday, Nov. 7 discussion will be on “The Puzzling World of Winston Breen” by Eric Berlin. This is a Sunshine State Book. The program is for kids and a parent. If you are interested in joining in on the discussion, please stop in to see Miss Barb to sign up. She will have your book ready. You can also call Miss. Barb at 472-2483.

Come to our “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” party. On Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., the Sanibel Public Library is having a party based on the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books. Join us for lots of fun, games, Wimpy Kid trivia contests, prizes and snacks.

Every Monday at 3 p.m. is Craft Day at the library. The program is open to third graders and older. Please sign up in advance so that there are enough supplies for everyone.

Also, Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. is dedicated to kids in kindergarten through second grade. Weekly activities include themed activities, stories, games and snacks.

Stop in and read to our dogs – Rocky and Simon – each Thursday at 4 p.m. Please call the library to schedule your time to read to our very attentive canines.

For additional information or to register for a program, please call Miss Barb at the Sanibel Public Library, located at 770 Dunlop Road, at 472-2483.
