‘The Art of Tea’ offered at The Burroughs Home

By Staff | Oct 16, 2009

In a continuing series, Lady Katherine will present her “The Art of Tea at the Burroughs Home and Gardens” on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. The unique, one-hour program is being offered to the public by the Uncommon Friends Foundation at the Burroughs Home, located at 2505 First Street in Fort Myers.

Tea is not only a refreshing, delicious and healthy beverage, but also is very versatile. Lady Katherine will provide pots of tea, tea cups and other accoutrements that complement the tea experience during the program.

The cost of attending is $20 per person and is designed for a novice or connoisseur. Participants will learn about the tea plant, how to prepare a perfect cup of tea, and health benefits associated with tea. A variety of premium teas will be provided.

“Cup Meets Plate” is a class designed to teach preliminary cooking guidelines and “TEA-ickle your Taste Buds.” Teas and other related supplies will be available for purchase at the tea event.

For reservations or for additional information, call 239-337-0706 or e-mail CForbes@email.com.
