Yacht club to host Fall Wedding Expo

By Staff | Oct 14, 2009

The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Fall Wedding Expo from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.
Parks and Rec Assistant Amy McGarry said the event will feature a little bit of everything for soon-to-be brides.
Admission for the event is $2, McGarry said, adding that a bag will be given to brides with a bridal magazine, information and flyers.
She said approximately 40 vendors had signed up for the event as of Tuesday. Various wedding professionals, like photographers, entertainers, florists and caterers, will have booths at the expo, along with formal wear and cakes.
A raffle will be held every 15-20 minutes so they can catch the brides while they are still at the event. McGarry said vendors supply donated items for the raffle.
“There are usually really nice gifts for the brides,” she said.
McGarry said that in the past caterers have brought to the expo sample platters that they might typically offer at wedding events.
“It is a nice classy event,” she said.
McGarry said the expo is a smaller event providing brides with a chance to gather more information and not get lost.
Vendors are still being accepted for the event, with a cut off date of Thursday. For those interested in becoming a vendor, call 574-0806.
