Fort Myers police investigating homicide

Fort Myers police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at Central Avenue and Moreno Avenue this morning.
Police responding to the 3:34 a.m. call found the body of a man who appeared to be in his 20s on the sidewalk near the intersection.
The person who called in the incident told dispatchers the shooter fled on a bicycle.
Police immediately set up a perimeter using K9s and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit but so far a suspect has not been found, officials said.
