Robert T. Anderson
Robert T. Anderson of Sanibel died on Sept. 8, 2009 in Fort Myers. He was 81.
Bob was born on April 6, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo., a child of Frances (Gillick) Anderson. He was a graduate of C.B.C. High School and U.S. Marine Corps veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He then worked for over 33 years for the Monsanto Company until he retired in 1985 and moved to Sanibel.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joan Cheryl Anderson, his children, Mary Anderson, John (Anne) Anderson, Teresa (Terry) Dresner, Steve (Alexa) Anderson and Paul (Connie) Anderson, his stepdaughter, Tracey Campbell, 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was also the husband of the late Dixie Sue Anderson, who died in 1975 after 25 years of marriage.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Creve Coeur, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent in his memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
