Sanibel City Hall will be closed in observance of Labor Day, on Monday, Sept. 7 and will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Refuse, recycling and vegetation waste collection by Waste Pro scheduled for the week of Labor Day will be one day later. Therefore, if your normal pick-up day is Monday, Sept. 7, your waste will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The altered schedule will remain in place for the remainder of the week. The normal waste collection schedule will resume on Monday, Sept. 14.

The Sanibel Recreation Center will be open on Labor Day from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, the free monthly Blood Pressure Screenings will occur on Monday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. All Rec Center Fitness Classes will also be offered, and a complete list of class offerings is available at www.mysanibel.com. If you have any questions, call the Rec Center at 472-0345.

The City Of Sanibel’s Senior/Civic Center will be closed in observance of Labor Day and will resume normal office hours on Tuesday. If you have any questions, call the Senior Center at 472-5473.

The After School Recreation Program will not operate in observance of Labor Day, on Monday, Sept. 7 and will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8. If you have any questions, call the Rec Center at 472-0345.
