Elizabeth Murphy

Elizabeth Yarrow Chandlee Murphy was born in 1917 in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She was cheerfully married many years to Island Water Association’s founder, Patrick O. Murphy, who passed away in 1979.

She was a beloved mother to Evan G. Chandlee, Elizabeth “Betsy” L. Chandlee, David K. Chandlee, Samuel S. Sharp and grandmom to Atma Tur Chandlee and Michael Chandlee. She was the loving caretaker of Shane, Midnight, Tom and Jerry, Topsy and many more beloved creatures.

A vocalist extraordinaire, she could have been a Carnegie Hall performer after her youthful Italian education. We all wish her eternal life and complete absence of sorrow or familial regrets.

All are welcome to attend her memorial at St. Michael’s & All Angels Church, 2304 Periwinkle Way, on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.
